We are an architecture studio and a carpentry workshop. Yes, we do love and believe in the importance of great craftsmanship for changing the world for the better. We design and build small scale projects such as housing, urban interventions, pavilions and furniture for both public and private clients. Building Architecture is a collaboration between Tan & Blixenkrone and Thomas Harboe Architects. We are based in Copenhagen but love traveling for projects.

The house consists of a comprehensive repertoire of more or less complex components, each of which contributes to the overall integrity of the house.

The House joints are an exploration of tradition/reinterpretation and ornament/structure. In this project, we have focused on wood as a material, as well as the development of joints, constructability, and the significance of the joint in a structure.

The house was part of Charlottenborg’s Spring Exhibition.

Huset består af et omfattende repertoire af mere eller mindre komplekse dele, der hver især har betydning for husets helhed.

Husets samlinger er en undersøgelse af tradition/nyfortolkning og ornament/tektonik. I dette projekt har vi haft fokus på træ som materiale samt udviklingen af samlinger, bygbarhed og betydningen af samlingen i en konstruktion.

Huset var en del af Charlottenborgs Forårsudstilling.
